UPDATE: In an effort to save a few trees in 2020, pet sitting receipts and all client forms will be emailed to you rather than a printed copy being left for, or snail mailed to, you. Thank you!
Meet & Greet Consultation
Before any pet-sitting visits are scheduled, a meet and greet is required. This is my opportunity to meet you and your pets and for you to meet me. I want to make sure we are a good fit for one another. My goal during this meeting is to obtain all information required to perform pet-sitting services. These meetings typically last 30 minutes and are complementary. There is no obligation to hire my services.
Aggressive Animal Policy
For my safety and well-being, PPS&P reserves the right to refuse any aggressive or uncontrollable pets for bookings. If a pet becomes aggressive during a pet-sitting visit and your pet care provider is bitten or exposed to any disease or aliment received from a client's pet, which has not been properly or currently vaccinated, the client will be responsible for all costs and damages that may incur.
PPS&P has requested the name and phone number of a current person living nearby who has access to your home. This should be a person close enough to walk to your home if roads are impassable. If PPS&P is physically unable to drive to your home this information is needed so that I can contact this person to request their assistance to check on your pet. In the event that the client does not provide a nearby emergency contact with access to your home, PPS&P will provide service, but not until conditions are safe to do so.
Minimum visit requirements for cats, dogs, caged animals
PPS&P has a minimum visit policy for the health and well-being of my client’s pets. Client’s pets must be visited at least once every 24 hours for cats, birds and pocket pets. Dogs must be visited at least twice every 24 hour period. For senior pets or puppies without access to pee pads or a litter box, it is strongly encouraged to have three visits per day.
No “set in stone” times
Other than required medication doses, pet-sitting visit times are approximate and are subject to change based on the needs of all pets under PPS&P care.
No shared visits
PPS&P has a No Shared Responsibility Policy in order to comply with my insurance policy. No exceptions will be made. This means that no other person shall share pet care responsibilities.
PPS&P requires all cats and dogs to be up to date on their rabies vaccine and will verify with your veterinarian.

I understand plans may change. I, generally, do not charge for cancellations with adequate notice or with prior notice of an uncertain departure date. However, if you cancel 48 hours or less prior to the date of the first visit, there will be a $30 cancellation fee. Cancellations must be done in writing, either by email or text, and will be confirmed by the time stamp on your message. Any cancellation fees incurred must be paid within 3 days.
Keys and Codes
Premier Pet Sitting & Photography, LLC requires a key to the front door. Garage door and house codes, along with keys, will be kept in a secure location, away from client files, and will be coded for client confidentiality. The front door key is in case the garage door keypad battery goes bad or there’s a power outage. Please test the key before giving them to sitter. It is recommended that PPS&P retain your house keys between sitting assignments. This ensures that if you have a last minute pet-sitting request, I am able to accept without having to arrange a time to pick up the key from you. It also prevents me from making multiple trips to and from your home, which can be difficult depending on my schedule. There is a $15 fee for retrieving your key, each time, if you choose not to have us keep one at the office.
Did you just miss your flight? Has bad weather prevented you from arriving home on time? Whatever the case may be, contact me ASAP! Chances are I will be able to do another visit or two until you are able to make it home. For those occasions, you will be billed for each additional visit your pets require until you are home again. Your additional charges are to be paid in full within 3 days.
Access to your Home by Others
If a client allows any other person access to their home during PPS&P's contract period, PPS&P cannot be held liable for any damages to property or pets as a result. Please notify PPS&P of all people that will be in your home during your absence. Please also notify your guest(s) that PPS&P is coming so that they are not surprised by my entrance.
Animal abandonment is an animal cruelty crime in the state of Indiana. If you abandon your pet while in my care, I will report your actions to the appropriate authorities and give your pet to a shelter, foster home, or put them up for adoption. All expenses incurred during this time period will be the responsibility of the client and client will be held 100% liable for reimbursing Premier Pet Sitting & Photography, LLC.
